Prominent online streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa, globally recognized by her online alias Amouranth, is poised to make a significant return to the Twitch platform on June 20, 2025. This move follows a highly lucrative two-year tenure on the rival streaming service, Kick, during which she reportedly generated $38 million in earnings.
Siragusa’s career has spanned a variety of content genres, including live gaming sessions, ‘In Real Life’ (IRL) streams documenting her daily activities, autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) content, and modelling. She initially rose to prominence on Twitch, cultivating a substantial audience and establishing herself as one of the platform’s highest-earning female streamers in 2020 and 2021, according to reports by the online media outlet, Dexerto.
Navigating Platform Challenges and Success
Despite her considerable success on Twitch, Siragusa’s presence on the platform was not without its challenges. She faced multiple temporary bans for violations of Twitch’s content policies. However, even when navigating these disciplinary actions, she consistently managed to maintain high levels of viewership, demonstrating the resilience of her audience base and her ability to retain engagement.
In 2023, Siragusa made a widely reported transition to the Kick platform, a competitor notably backed by the online gambling and cryptocurrency firm Stake. Speaking to Dexerto at the time of the deal, she indicated that the agreement effectively “doubled” her income. While the precise financial terms of her initial contract with Kick were not publicly disclosed at that time, her recent revelation of the $38 million earnings figure provides concrete insight into the financial scale of her activities on the platform over the subsequent two years.
The Announcement of Return
The confirmation of her departure from Kick and her impending return to Twitch was delivered by Siragusa herself on June 19. The announcement was made via a video shared on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The video employed a distinct visual metaphor to convey the transition.
The short film humorously depicted Siragusa refueling a car painted green, the signature color associated with the Kick platform, and explicitly labeled “Kick Com”. As she completed this action, the vehicle underwent a visual transformation, changing color to purple, which is Twitch’s highly recognizable brand color. The video concluded with a graphic overlay prominently displaying the text “$38 million later,” underscoring the significant financial success she experienced during her time away from Twitch.
Uncertainties and Future Streaming Strategy
As of the announcement, it remains uncertain whether Siragusa’s return to Twitch will involve an exclusive streaming arrangement with the platform or if she intends to engage in multistreaming across multiple services simultaneously. Her return stream is definitively scheduled for June 20, the day following her announcement.
However, her potential for multistreaming appears limited, particularly concerning the YouTube platform. Her primary YouTube account is currently subject to a ban, reportedly for ‘ban evasion’. This ban followed the prior removal of her ASMR-focused channel from the platform due to content flagged as ‘sexual content’. Given these circumstances, future multistreaming activities that include YouTube are considered unlikely.
Siragusa’s high-profile return to Twitch, bringing with her the significant financial achievement from a competing platform, highlights the dynamic and increasingly lucrative landscape of online content creation and the intense competition among streaming services for top-tier talent.
